Common information for PreO sprint competitions
Date: Saturday, March 21st
GPS: 48.588626, 17.632720
Event centre: outdoors
Overview map: Dolný Lopašov (link to map)
Quarantine: It is necessary to be in the event center area by 10.30, as the road to the event center passes through the both competition areas. Please be fair play and do not study the competition area during the transfer to the event center. We assume that you will all be moving using cars. If anyone is planning to move on foot from the village, please let us know and we will arrange your transfer to the event center. If anyone has a significant problem with arriving by 10.30, please inform us in advance so that we can arrange your transfer. For exceptions, please contact Dušan Furucz. Thank you for your understanding.
Information about course: The basic idea of building PreO sprint courses is that the tasks can be solved by the best directly from the vicinity of decision point. It is possible that the task is easier to solve from another place, but this may mean a loss of time.
The tasks are not visually connected to each other, so please be careful. See example below.
For competitors in the P category, we have increased the time limit for completing the courses as much as possible (according to current rules) due to the surface of the competition area (grass or grassy path).
Backup punching: standard by rules. Use pin in A (Alpha answer) or H (Zero answer) columns in descriptions

Zero tolerance: standard is 4m. 8m or 16m for longer distance tasks. No exceptions. The information is given in the last column of the descriptions. See example below.

Map: existing map from WTOC relay – updated winter 2026, 1:3000, e=2m (zoomed from 1:4000) + detailed map 1:2000, e=2m
Old map: map from WTOC
Terrain: Semi open area of old quarry and valley with steep slope on one side
Warning: During Saturday (before completing both competitions) it is not allowed to use the previous maps of the current area. Please be fair play. The only exception is the use of the warm-up map, which includes the quarry area near the event center. The idea (about warm-up map) arose from the initiative of young Ukrainian racers who want to familiarize themselves with the map and terrain before the race. It is possible to move along the roads on the map. The upper level of the quarry will also be accessible. There are new earthen embankments in the map area that are not added to the map.

Solutions and complaints: standard procedure with sufficient space for possible complaints. If you feel that something was wrong, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can investigate the situation as soon as possible.
Toilet: There will be wheelchair accessible toilets in Event centre. After completing the first race, you can return to the event center to use the toilet.
